Flyer for class.
The repeated "Dustloop.com Match Finder" text at the bottom would be where I would cut the paper for little tabs for people to take. Was very simple to do but should be sufficient for the assignment.

Class introduction!
Well, as you can see, this blog was originally devoted to video games, however I'm now hijacking it for college purposes. My name is Devin Stahl (and my internet handle is Kentiah or Koraxor, hence the name of the blog), based on the blog you'd be correct in assuming that I'm an avid gamer, though this blog hasn't been updated in a while. I was born in Griffin and have lived here all my life unfortunately, though I am grateful for the friends I have made while I'm here. There's not a whole lot to say really, I'm majoring in Computer Networking, as I've dealt with computers most of my life but haven't thought much about making a job of it, so now I am, I often wind up troubleshooting internet related problems for family members in the house, though at the end of the day it's really just entry tier stuff that anyone can do, and I'm interested in learning more. I'd really like to learn more on the hardware side of things as well as I haven't had a chance to build my own computer. Well, there's not much mrre to say unless anyone has some specific questions!

Vindictus!
The Vindictus early open beta starts today! I can't wait for it, I've unfortunately decided to cancel my FF14 pre-order, too many sketchy things in the game atm, I'd rather wait for a couple of months and let it pan out some.
Really looking forward to Vindictus though, servers need to go up asap!

Registered for classes! Not much in the vidya news though.
Registered for classes today, most of my classes are later in the day, but ah well.
Dead Rising 2 is looking pretty sick though, can't wait to play it, I never played the first one, but the second one seems awesome.

Starts tomorrow!
Launch of F2P starts tomorrow, in other news not alot has been happening. Birth by Sleep came out yesterday, I've been practicing at BlazBlue still. I played Ace Combat: Joint Assault last night, it's alright, not a bad game but it's really retarded how slow you turn.
Other than that, not alot else, I wound up just saying screw Paypal, and it turns out Amazon has a similar system for getting payments and stuff, so that worked out well.

Lord of the Rings Online goes F2P!
Well, it's not news, but it starts on the 8th for current subscribers/people who already bought the game. It's actually a pretty solid MMO, though the Tolkien fanboys can get annoying at times, it's still fun overall, and I enjoy watching the occasional RP session of some people, not to mention the music system is SO ballin.
Ugh, so many MMOs to play though, and with college I'm not gonna have any spare time.

Squeenix on why they think the west only like macho protagonists.
The importance of “believability” is strongly emphasised in the North American market.
Why are American characters always older guys? This can be explained with reference to “believability.”
For a protagonist who triumphs against adversity to be believable in the eyes of players, they want him to be tough and highly experienced.
This isn’t limited to characters – in “Fallout 3″ you see the example of Nuka Cola, which gives health when drunk but also poisons the body with radiation. At first this doesn’t seem realistic at all, but when you consider the setting is post-apocalyptic it becomes “believable.”
We can probably expect more stuff like the differing main characters as in Neir to happen. Thoughts on this? As long as it doesn't invade my Final Fantasies I guess I don't mind, but when playing a Japanese game I expect Japanese style characters, I like the style. When playing western RPGs I know what to expect with those as well, and they're still good.
Why screw it up Squeenix, why?
